About Liberty
Furniture
In
1992, Richard Brian seized the opportunity to create something he
was passionate about. He began with a vision of a business that
would thrive on the values of hard-work, fairness, and integrity.
With only 7 people, a modest section of warehouse in west Atlanta,
and the hunger to succeed, Liberty Furniture opened its doors
selling only wood chairs and laminate table tops. Steadily, the
company introduced more casual dining styles, and the vision that
was Liberty began to take form. Early on, when Liberty could only
afford a basement level showroom in High Point, Mr. Brian would
take chairs out to the street in order to entice customers. This
initiative and passion for success is visible to this day and is at
the very heart of Liberty. Liberty went through many peaks and
valleys in the beginning few years, but with strong leadership in
place, there was confidence for success. In 1994, Liberty expanded,
increasing its line to include master dining as well as casual
dining furniture. The success of the emerging category enabled
Liberty to open up a distribution center in Chicago, IL in 1997. In
1999, Liberty entered the competitive market of bedrooms. This
strategic move returned immediate success, and as a result Liberty
expanded their warehouse capacity and staff. A few years later,
Liberty introduced accent pieces, and in 2005 diversified further
by offering the occasional category. Today, Liberty operates out of
three main facilities in Atlanta; a brand new facility recently
completed in Chicago, and has successfully opened their first Asian
office. As Liberty continues to grow, they search for more ways to
expand and offer more of what their customers want. Liberty
continues to seek new initiatives and new opportunities for
expansion. Recently, Liberty introduced their Home Office line.
Positioned with their top choice in factory and designer, Liberty
is extremely optimistic about the future of the Home Office
category. As they continue to pursue this and other opportunities,
Liberty will never sacrifice their values and will stay always
loyal to their customers, putting them before anything
else.
